Midterms Killed Me. I am now a Zombie. A zombie who meets famous people.

Sorry for this three week hiatus (i think it's been three weeks... my sense of time is completely gone at this point) but midterms week literally killed me. I was dead. But I'm back now, so it's all good. It just took me a few weeks to recover. I have a lot of info to dump upon you all so I know I'll have plenty to write about and as promised I will be making up for the daily posts I missed out on so at the bottom of my posts I will have a "Make-Up Posts Remaining" counter to verify that I make them all up.

It's Halloween weekend! WOO! I went to Masquerade ball last night (pics coming soon) and it was pretty fantastic. The best part about going to a Halloween party at an art school? Flippin' legit costumes! Mine was more idea-based than just being spectacular to look at (you'll see what I mean when I get around to posting pics later) but some people had costumes that I know they spent hours on! Super awesome! My roommate Rach went as a Slytherin, and today we are trying to find her a gold bikini top to go with her gold short-shorts so she can be a Sexy Snitch today (she is Harry Potter obsessed, lol) we're even going to Henna some snitch wings onto her back (because everyone knows costume wings get in the way of partying)! It'll be pretty awesome. I'll be sure to get pics if it works out well ;D I was something Doctor Who related... and there was a like a whole horde of awesome DW costumes! Oh my gosh it was epic! Today I'm going as an art student. Because I work today, lol.

Today starts the Savannah Film Festival which is a huge star-studded week-long event filled with upcoming movies and short films and student work. It's pretty awesome. Indeed. And as a performing arts kid (vocal performance minor to be exact) of course I'm volunteering. Today is my first shift but because I couldn't sign up early (I was in a mandatory midterm study session when the shiftboard opened... I tell you, midterm week is hell. an awesome artsy hell, but hell nevertheless) I didn't get any of the glamorous jobs like VIP escorts or Airport greeter, so most of my shift s consist of concessions (which is what I'm doing tonight) and ushering and ticket-taking. Which isn't terrible--especially since there is a really awesomely good chance that I may get to meet LILY FREAKING TOMLIN!

Speaking of famous people, guess who I met? Roger Bart. Name sound familiar? How about his face:

Yes. I met him. Still need a bit more coaxing? HE'S A REGULAR ON DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. and a tony-award winning broadway star, and my personal favorite: voice actor for young Hercules in Disney's Hercules. Yeah, "Go the Distance?" That was him singing. And I met him. I shook his hand. And he told me to go for my dreams. It was a beautiful moment in time. I told him about my dream of voice-acting for animated films and he said that it was awesome I had something that specific to work towards. He is epicly cool. Jussayin'.

However, this is all I have time to post right now because I have a crap-ton of drawing homework this weekend and I have to be at the Trustees Theater at 5:30pm for work tonight, so I need to get crap done before then. Mostly laundry and drawing. Perhaps a bit o' design homework too. And cleaning up my part of the dorm. Because it's getting pretty messy. Indeed.

Well, hope you all are having a fabulous (and safe!) Halloween weekend and party like the animals (or vampires or witches) that you are!
