I just survived my first week of my first job.
You know you're doing something right when it doesn't even feel like work! I love all of my crazy coworkers and I really bonded with some of the students this week! We did all sorts of fun activities each day and I think I really made an impact on a few of the residents. Which is awesome.
Sunday the students started trickling in (with a couple early arrivals Saturday evening) and since I wasn't assigned sign-in duty, I was supposed to stay on my floor and help residents find their rooms and like my first thoughts about training, I thought it would be boring. It was extremely hot and humid outside, but other than that, it was exciting and fun helping the residents to their rooms! The parents were really nice and thankful that I was there and a few of the parents actually remembered my name which made me feel special!

I put out chocolates with all of my girls Welcome Letters for a nice treat for when they moved in! |

Our theme for the summer is I <3 the 90s! So all of my door decs/name tags had 90s cartoon characters on them. Like this one with Pistol Pete from Goof Troop! |
Sunday night our activity was tie-dye which was fun but also kinda stressful as since I'm a fibers major I became the unofficial official expert. So people kept asking me questions and stuff and it was nice in a way, but I didn't want to disappoint anyone, you know?

They turned out pretty awesome though, huh? |
Everything is tons of fun because my coworkers and the interns are the best people in the whole world. They are so fun and full of energy and creativity! We all just hang out in the office during our off-hours and do silly things. Like I'm sure these pictures well illustrate!
^Our lovely interns ;]
We had WAAAAY too much fun with those anime glasses, haha
The above two pictures are of part of an exhibit as SCAD Museum of Art right now that we took the students to see last Tuesday

We had an anything but clothes fashion show towards the end of the week where the students formed teams and had to create an outfit out of random materials. It was pretty awesome. |
 |
TYRA WAS THERE. |
 |
The SSAs were told to dress to the 9s as if it were a real fashion show. I had so much fun lookin' glamorous! |
 |
The winning design! |

The awesome MC of the night, my friend Will. He's like a giraffe. |
 |
Friday I got a care package from my Dad! It was so sweet and unexpected! |
All in all, I had a stellar week and am pumped that I get to do it all again three more times! This is going to be one of the best summers EVER!
